How Does SAGE Work?
SAGE is a visual tensiometer that tells you when it’s time to irrigate, and when to stop.
A gypsum block is placed directly in the root zone and with seconds will adjust to the surrounding soil moisture.
Soil wetness at any given time is represented by a number of yellow dots. More yellow dots indicate wetter soil. The yellow dots are displayed on a large moisture display that can be read from several feet away.
When the soil is very wet, all seven dots appear yellow. As the soil dries, the yellow dots gradually turn black, starting from the top. One or no yellow dot on the display indicates very dry soil. For guidelines on optimal soil moisture levels, please consult our plant guides.

Custom Template Stickers
Place the sticker template over the Wet/Dry side of your SAGE insert.
Proceed to peel off the coin areas which coincide with the optimal soil moisture of your specific crop (photo example: strawberries).
